On May 11, Representative Mike Collins’ (R-Ga.) bill, H.R. 1734, the Testing, Rapid Analysis, and Narcotic Quality (TRANQ) Research Act, unanimously passed the House of Representatives and is on its way to the Senate. Rep. Collins authored and introduced this legislation in March and was joined by Representative Yadira Caraveo (D-Colo.), Science Committee Chairman Frank Lucas (R-Okla.), and Ranking Member Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.), who signed on as original co-sponsors.
