Oconee Fall Line Technical College issued the following announcement on May 25.
Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) Practical Nursing student, Sharon Bazemore (Louisville), was recently selected by the Pilot Club of Eastman as the recipient of their 2022 Joyce B. Jones Nursing Scholarship.
The mission of Pilot International is to influence positive change in communities with a focus on encouraging brain safety and health and supporting those who care for others.
Sharon’s dedication to the nursing field is evident, and her desire to become a nurse supports the mission of Pilot International, shared Nylan Hinson, a member of Eastman’s Pilot Club.
“We are proud to award Sharon this scholarship and wish her the very best as she continues her education and career in nursing,” she added.
OFTC’s Practical Nursing Program prepares graduates to give competent nursing care, and a full-time student can complete the program in five semesters.
Bazemore completed OFTC’s Nurse Aide program at the Jefferson County Center in Louisville and is currently in her third semester of the PN program at the college’s Sandersville Campus.
