Enrollment at Laurens County School District increased by 0.4% compared to previous school year

There were 6,101 students enrolled in Laurens County School District in the 2022-23 school year, 0.4% more than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were male, and 49% were female.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 60% of the Laurens County School District's total enrollment.

Laurens County School District roughly covers eight schools within Laurens County and has a main office in Dublin.

Among the eight schools in Laurens County School District, West Laurens High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,250 students in the 2022-23 school year.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
