How many Black students were enrolled in Treutlen County schools during 2022-23 school year?

There were 373 Black students enrolled in Treutlen County school in the 2022-23 school year, 3.9% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Data showed that Treutlen County welcomed 943 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Black students comprised 39.6% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the county.

Among the two schools in Treutlen County, Treutlen Middle/High School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 216 students.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
