FOIA Request Sent to Baldwin County Election Department Regarding Ballot Counting Methods on October 29, 2024

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Baldwin County Election Department in Georgia on October 29, 2024. The request, issued by Central Georgia News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, sought specific details about the methods used for counting votes in the upcoming elections.

In particular, we asked for a list of methods they are using to count votes. If any votes are being manually counted, we also requested an estimated number of people who will be working on election night.
