Representative Mike Collins (GA-10) has announced the 2024 Congressional Art Competition, inviting high school students from across Georgia's 10th District to participate. The competition allows students to showcase their creative talents by submitting two-dimensional entries such as paintings, drawings, photos, computer-generated art, collages, and prints.

The first-place entry will have the honor of being exhibited in the U.S. Capitol Building for one year. In addition, the winning student will receive two round-trip tickets to attend a national reception in Washington, D.C. This event provides an incredible opportunity for young artists to gain recognition and exposure on a national level.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the competition, Rep. Collins stated, "I'm pleased to again join my colleagues across the country in hosting the Congressional Art Competition. This annual tradition is a terrific opportunity for students to showcase their creative talents, and I look forward to seeing the submissions from our talented young Georgians across the 10th District."

Students who wish to participate can submit their artwork to the Congressman's district office by Friday, March 1st. To register and view competition guidelines, interested students can visit Congressman Collins' website.

The winner of the competition will be announced by Rep. Collins during a district reception on Saturday, March 23rd at the Lyndon House Arts Center. During this event, awards will also be presented to the top entries.

The Congressional Art Competition offers young artists a platform to demonstrate their skills and creativity. It not only encourages artistic expression but also provides an avenue for students to gain recognition and potentially launch their artistic careers.

Aspiring artists from Georgia's 10th District are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and submit their artwork to Congressman Collins' office. The chance to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building and attend a national reception in Washington, D.C., is a remarkable chance for these talented young individuals to showcase their talent on a grand stage.
