Central High School issued the following announcement on Feb. 21.
Central High School senior Jackson Burns received a $1,000 award from the National BETA Scholarship Program. The National BETA Scholarship review committed selected Jackson as one of 252 recipients from more than 2,900 applicants.
The National BETA Club’s mission is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among its member students. Central High School’s Beta Club sponsor is Ms. Liz Beverly.
