OCONEE FALL LINE TECHNICAL COLLEGE: Donna Asbell Inducted to OFTC’s Board of Directors

Oconee Fall Line Technical College issued the following announcement on Nov. 18. 

The Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) Board of Directors inducted Donna Asbell as their newest board member during a recent meeting at the College’s Dublin Campus, Thursday, November 18.   

Asbell is from Wilkinson County and was sworn in by Judge Glenola Jackson of the Laurens County Probate Court. 

Although governed by the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), the local board of directors play an important role in accomplishing the mission of the College while working in concert with the State Board. The purpose of the local board is to facilitate the delivery of programs, services, and activities as directed by the State Board of the TCSG. They also advise the President and the State Board of local industry and community needs for the programs and services to be provided by the technical college, and advocate within the community and in the state on issues of importance in support of workforce development efforts. 

Active in her community, Asbell currently serves as CFO for Blue Goose on Osborne, Georgia’s First Bike Hostel located in Irwinton. She’s also Main Street Manager (Irwinton), a member of East Wilkinson County Library and Friends of the East Wilkinson County Library, and an active member of the Friends of the Union Church.
