Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 26.
May I Introduce you to: Mary Spears
Mary grew up in Suwanee, GA and moved to Milledgeville in 2016 to attend Georgia College and State University. During undergrad, she served the campus and the community in many capacities and decided after graduation in 2020 to make Milledgeville her home. Mary has two degrees in History and Political Science from GCSU and is currently working on her Masters in Public Administration.
Mary remembers her visit to GCSU when she was senior in high school and thinking about how friendly everyone in town was and how there was no way everyone was this nice. But 5 years later, she hasn’t been proved wrong and everyone really is that great! She currently works at Georgia Military College as an Admissions Counselor, and she loves helping people of all walks of life achieve their goal of graduating college. Mary believes anyone who dreams of earning a college education should be given the tools to do so, so she makes that her goal each day at work! She loves volunteering with the Chamber because it allows her to meet people and give back to a community that has given her a sense of home. In her free time, she is an avid reader, loves to be outdoors, and you can find her cheering on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday! #mayiintorduceyoumonday #ambassador
