Fairview Park Hospital issued the following announcement on Oct. 7.
Congratulations to Sara Bozeman, RN, Emergency Department, on receiving the DAISY Award!
Sara was recently awarded the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses after being nominated by the mother of one of our recent pediatric patients. Sara was described as being caring, thorough, and going above and beyond to make sure the patient was well taken care of and that the mother felt confident and well-informed during her child's stay here. Sara continued to check in on the patient and mother after they were admitted, even calling the hospital on her time off to ensure she was recovering well during her stay.
It was even more special that her big brother, Dr. Andy Bozeman, Pediatric Surgeon at Fairview Park Hospital, was able to surprise her by presenting the award to her himself!
Congratulations, Sara, on this wonderful accomplishment, and thank you for providing top-notch care to all patients that visit our Emergency Department. We're thankful to have you on board!
