2022-23 School Year: How many students were enrolled in Jasper County schools?

There were 2,449 students enrolled in Jasper County schools in the 2022-23 school year, 6.9% more than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Boys made up 51.6% of the county's student body, while the other 48.4% were girls.

Data also showed that white students made up 68.4% of the student body, the largest percentage in Jasper County schools, followed by African American students with 17.2%, 9.1% Hispanic students and 4.9% multiracial students.

Jasper County High School stood out with the highest enrollment among Jasper County's four schools in the 2022-23 cycle, welcoming 708 students.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 15:1, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
