ATLANTA – State Representative Mack Jackson (D-Sandersville) has been honored with the Trailblazer Dove Award by the African American Alumni Council (AAAC) at Georgia College and State University. The award recognizes his outstanding achievements in promoting unity between the community and the university.
In response to receiving the award, Rep. Jackson expressed his gratitude, stating, "It is truly an honor to be acknowledged with such a prestigious award." He also highlighted the importance of collaboration, saying, "This acknowledgement serves as a testament to the power of collaboration and the transformative impact we can achieve when we work together toward a common purpose."
Rep. Jackson, who obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Georgia College and State University, credited President Cathy Cox and Mrs. Debra White Minor for their support and encouragement, saying, "I am deeply grateful to President Cathy Cox and Mrs. Debra White Minor for their unwavering support and encouragement."
