4.1% of citizens unemployed in Washington County in 2021

Washington County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.1% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 316 people out of the 20,052 living in Washington County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Washington County has decreased compared to the 5.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Washington County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.5%.

Of the 7,413 people who had a job during that time, 33 were employed in the Armed Forces and 7,380 belonged to the civilian labor force.
