Georgia's TCSG debuts online platform linking job seekers and employers statewide

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) introduced an online platform connecting job seekers with employers across the state, aiming to enhance workforce opportunities amidst Georgia's economic growth. This initiative, announced by Governor Kemp, streamlines job searches and aims to support career advancement in response to increased job opportunities. This tool is meant to be a game-changer for the labor market in Georgia by improving connections between talent and employers.

The governor's perspective on this matter was shared through a statement.
According to a press release by the Governor's office, Kemp stated: "Georgia continues to meet the needs of both employees and job creators as we welcome the incredible job growth we've seen over the past several years. This innovative platform will help match members of our skilled workforce with opportunities for success in every corner of the state."
The function and goals of this new platform were elaborated upon further by representatives of TCSG.
According to a press release by the Governor's office, the Labor Exchange Platform, a part of WorkSource Georgia managed by TCSG's Office of Workforce Development, works to support Georgia's skilled labor pool. According to Karen Kirchler, TCSG's Deputy Commissioner of Workforce Development, this resource aims to connect job seekers and employers efficiently by facilitating job placements and enhancing connections between talent and opportunities. TCSG hopes that this tool strengthens the Georgia economy during its recent growth.
TCSG also shared some notable achievements made possible through their efforts.
According to TCSG, WorkSource Georgia has supported 639 apprentices sponsored through TCSG colleges across 19 local Workforce Development Areas, serving a total of 49,235 participants.
In addition to the new platform, TCSG already offers a variety of programs for skilled workers.
According to a press release by the Governor's office, TCSG's 22 colleges offer training in over 600 programs for skilled workers, alongside Georgia’s Office of Adult Education, providing statewide literacy programs, including the GED testing program.
The announcement of this initiative coincides with remarkable economic growth in Georgia.
