Central High School sophomore Kai McMichael won the Carrollton Writer’s Guild Award in the 2023 High School Creative Writing Contest
Kai won the contest in the category of prose. Her English teacher, Ms. Megan Wooten will be accompanying her to the Carrollton Writer’s Guild awards luncheon. During the luncheon Kai will read an excerpt from her winning piece.
Last year, Kai earned the same award as a ninth grader.
