Congratulations to Lauren Phillips – November 2022 Employee of the Month

The Greene County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the November 2022 Greene County Chamber of Commerce Employee of the Month. The following recipient has been selected based on her exemplary contributions of service and community involvement in Greene County and the surrounding area.

November’s Employee of the Month is presented to Lauren Phillips at Habitat Restore.  Lauren was nominated by Habitat’s ReStore Manage, Karen Dorton, a previous Winner of the Award.

Said Dorton:

“I was honored last year by being given this award and I have never forgotten how proud and honored I was. I now am in the position to nominate my Assistant ReStore Manager, Lauren Phillips.

Lauren came to us on February 1, 2022 and hit the ground running.  Lauren has contributed tremendously to our ReStore administrative team with wonderful ideas and implementing new practices that have increased our productivity.  In addition, Lauren has completely transformed the entire ReStore showroom.  Lauren has spent countless hours reinventing the showroom with new presentations of donated items, organizing our inventory to make it easy for anyone to walk in and find exactly what they are looking for, and then some.  I have been received so many rave reviews from our community that I feel compelled that her efforts to be recognized.  The funds raised by our ReStore go directly into the building fund for the Greene County Habitat for Humanity mission. We have just broken ground on homes #66 and #67 with Lauren’s dedication being a big part of our success.

Lauren is a single mother to Caden, a 6th grader at Lake Oconee Academy.  Her love and dedication to her job as an Assistant Manager is only outshone by her most important job as a Mom!”
