Hundreds of local job seekers attended Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s (OFTC) 2022 Career and Job Expo in Dublin and Sandersville, July 21st and 28th where they had opportunities to mingle with local employers seeking to hire qualified applicants.
More than 90 employers were in attendance between the two events.
OFTC hosts this event annually in hopes of bringing employers and job seekers together to fill employment gaps within the community and to connect job seekers to potential career opportunities.
“We love hosting this event every year,” shared Saketta Brown, OFTC’s Director of Student Affairs and Career Services and Disabilities Coordinator. “It helps meet the needs of employers in the community and those who are looking for a new career. We also present training opportunities available at OFTC for those who are interested in gaining additional skills and qualifications for their desired career.”
During the 2022 Career & Job Expo employers set up booths in OFTC’s conference centers and job seekers have opportunities to learn about open positions and present themselves as potential candidates for hire. Several companies even schedule interviews and fill open positions before the conclusion of the event.
