Corey King of Sandersville was recently named recipient of the Randy Helton Family Scholarship for the summer 2022 semester by the Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) Foundation.
Corey is enrolled in the Computer Support Specialist program on the college’s Sandersville Campus.
The Randy Helton Family Scholarship was established in 2019 by Trustee of the former OFTC Foundation North to honor long serving Trustee Randy Helton and his service to the college and the Foundation. Helton and his family continue to maintain funding for the scholarship.
Recipients of the scholarship must maintain a 3.0 GPA, submit an essay on why they chose OFTC, and must have a faculty recommendation.
“Corey is the type of student Helton Family looks for in scholarship applicants,” shared Kathy Aaron, Executive Director of the OFTC Foundation and member of the Helton family. “Corey’s ability to maintain a 4.0 while working full-time is amazing”
“The Foundation wishes to congratulate Corey on his accomplishments and on being named the scholarship recipient,” Aaron added.
