26.3% of households in Hardwick received food stamps in 2020

Hardwick ranked 145th in Georgia for the percentage of households receiving food stamps in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

There were 407 Hardwick households (26.3 percent) who received food stamps. Hardwick's population was 3,372 in 2020.

The city with the largest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Plains, which had 148 of 229 households receiving food stamps, 38.3 percent more than Hardwick. In 2020 the population of Plains was 758.

The city with the lowest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was North High Shoals, which had one of 208 households receiving food stamps, 25.8 percent less than Hardwick. In 2020 the population of North High Shoals was 670.
