University(1000)

Oconee Fall Line Technical College issued the following announcement on Jan. 19.

Seventeen Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) students were awarded the program specific tools they’ll need to jump-start their careers during the 23rd annual Tools for Outstanding Occupational Leadership Students (TOOLS) Program held on the college’s Dublin campus, Wednesday, January 19.

Sponsors for the TOOLS Program are the OFTC Foundation (major sponsor), the Evelyn and Louie Livingston Family Foundation (major sponsor), Morris Bank (major sponsor), Fairview Park Hospital (major sponsor), Genola Jackson, Nonatz Inc., Community Bank of Dublin, and Bubba’s Tire Center.

Each year students are nominated by their instructors to compete for the award and are selected by a panel of judges after an application and interview process.

“Every year we are so excited about this event,” shared Kathy Aaron, OFTC’s Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and the Foundation. “To see the students and how grateful they are to receive these tools; it just reminds us of why we do what we do here at OFTC.”

Recipients receive the program-specific tools required for their careers so that upon graduation they’re able to seamlessly transition into the workforce without the burden of purchasing necessary on-the-job equipment or tools.
