County of Emanuel issued the following announcement on Oct. 20.
Emanuel County, please welcome our new Public Safety Coordinator Courtney Terwilliger!
The Emanuel County Board of Commissioners has appointed Mr. Courtney Terwilliger to serve as the Public Safety Coordinator for Emanuel County. Mr. Courtney will have several different roles in this position, but predominately will spend his time working with Emanuel County Fire and Rescue. He has served as EMS director for 43 years and will continue to do so within a part time role for Emanuel Medical Center.
“I appreciate the opportunity. I have worked here in Emanuel County all my life. Biggest thing is I am here to try to help make things better, and if you can give me advise on that I would appreciate it very much.”
