County of Emanuel issued the following announcement on Oct. 8.
The Emanuel County Fire and Rescue recently purchased a set of Holmatro Pentheon rescue tools; funded by the annual Fire Fee. The set includes a cutter, spreader, and a telescopic ram. The tools are assigned to Rescue 1 at the Swainsboro Fire Department and will be deployed throughout the county when an emergency arises. Acquiring the Holmatro tools allowed the county to relocate a set of Hurst eDraulic rescue tools to the Oak Park station. Oak Park was targeted to receive tools due to the number of significant accidents along I-16 in Emanuel County. These tools will significantly improve response and rescue times around that area.
