County of Emanuel issued the following announcement on Sept. 15.
We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Pineland Telephone and have applied for a grant to make us a 100% broadband community. Becoming a Broadband Ready Community shows collaboration and innovation in addition to demonstrating that Emanuel County has identified broadband as an essential infrastructure in furthering our community. If awarded, this will give people access to high speed internet throughout the entire county. Emanuel County will be one of the only counties in the state that can tout this claim.
