DUBLIN-LAURENS COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: The Georgia Veterans Day Association relocates annual events to The Battery Atlanta

Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 16. 

The Georgia Veterans Day Association, Inc. (GVDA) is proud to bring the 40th Annual Georgia Veterans Day Celebration to The Battery Atlanta on Saturday, November 6, 2021. The daytime festivities are free and open to the public.

The annual event, which features family friendly activities, includes the Veterans Day Parade, Veterans Festival, and an Observance Ceremony honoring military families and Veterans. Kevin L. Miller, President of the GVDA, announced, “This exciting new venue offers our attendees easy access to great parking with amazing food and shopping options after our events.”

The day’s celebration culminates that evening during the formal annual Freedom Ball, located in the Battery Ballroom at our host hotel, Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta. Tickets for the Freedom Ball will be available for purchase in the coming weeks and seating is limited. The Georgia Veterans Day Association, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1981. The mission of the GVDA is to honor those who have served and are currently serving our Nation in the United States Military as well as to educate our Nation’s citizens on the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform.
