County of Baldwin issued the following announcement on July 16.
This position is responsible for maintaining a state of readiness and for responding to fire calls and various emergencies in Baldwin County. Shall possess current State Certification as a firefighter through Georgia Firefighter Standards & Training Council or obtain certification within 30 days of hire. Should be trained to the standards of National Professional Qualifications Firefighter 1. Must hold current CPR & First Aid certification through American Heart Association. Must be able to pass department’s fire apparatus operator evaluation. Must possess valid Class F or equivalent Georgia Driver’s License. High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. Must be of good moral character and ethics. It is preferred that applicants have geographical knowledge of the territory, basic computer skills, and effective communication. Applicants will be required to pass the physical agility test, medical examination, criminal background investigation and drug test.
