Beginning this spring, students will have access to even more career training opportunities through Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) thanks to three new programs: Construction Management, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, and Diesel Equipment HVAC Maintenance Technician.
The Construction Management courses will be taught on the Dublin Campus; students can begin taking required core classes in January and program specific courses in May.
Students interested in pursuing the skills needed to become a millwright can take advantage of the classes offered through the Mechanical Maintenance Technician program which will be offered on both the Sandersville and Dublin campuses in January.
Those interested in learning the required skills to service HVAC systems on medium heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment can begin classes in January on the Dublin Campus in the Diesel Equipment HVAC Maintenance Technician program.
“These new programs provide individuals within our service delivery area even more opportunities to further themselves in their desired career,” said Michele Strickland, OFTC’s Vice President for Academic Affairs.
“Each of these industries have expressed the need for skilled labor locally, and since one of our main goals at the college is workforce development, we took the opportunity to leverage our resources to create new programs that would benefit both employers and the workforce,” she added. “We’re excited to offer these three new programs to our local community and to our students.”

During the month of November, all $25 admissions application fees will be waived. Students interested in starting classes at OFTC in January should consider applying while it’s free. The Spring Semester begins January 9.
