Morgan Medical Center has entered into a partnership with Georgia Emergency Department Services (GEDS) to manage the staffing and coordination of its Emergency Department. This move aims to improve emergency care for residents in Morgan County, Georgia.
Under the agreement, all patients at the Emergency Department will be treated by board-certified, residency-trained emergency medicine physicians. According to Morgan Medical Center, this standard distinguishes it among rural hospitals in Georgia and is expected to lead to better patient outcomes and an improved experience for both patients and their families.
“This partnership represents an investment in patient safety and clinical excellence,” said Ralph A. Castillo, CPA, Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Medical Center. “GEDS physicians bring advanced training, rapid response skills, and compassionate care that elevate our Emergency Department to the next level.”
Dr. Sidhant “Sid” Nagrani has been appointed as the Emergency Department Medical Director. Dr. Nagrani joined GEDS in 2019 after earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completing his undergraduate studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is recognized for his clinical skill, leadership abilities, and commitment to fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients.
The hospital emphasized that its mission is to provide exceptional care focused on patients’ needs with compassion and integrity. The collaboration with GEDS aligns with this goal by ensuring access to expert emergency treatment locally.
