For the 2024-25 period, DAC (Dodge County Achievement Center) reported the enrollment of one Hispanic student—unchanged from the prior year—based on data from the Georgia Department of Education.

Overall student enrollment at DAC (Dodge County Achievement Center) was 46 for 2024-25, according to records. Hispanic students accounted for 2% of the student body, making them among the smallest ethnic groups represented at the school.

The school operates within the Dodge County School District, whose main office is located in Eastman.

Among Dodge County’s three schools, Dodge County High School had the most Hispanic students enrolled in 2024-25, at 54.

The National Center for Education Statistics reported that Georgia’s public school population was approximately 36.4% Black, 35.9% white, 18.1% Hispanic, 4% Asian, 4.6% multiracial, 0.2% American Indian or Alaska Native and 0.1% Pacific Islander.

Chronic absenteeism remains a significant challenge for Georgia schools following the pandemic, with 20.7% of students missing at least 10% of school days in 2024, according to the Georgia Department of Education. Efforts to improve daily attendance include a new statewide initiative, a public awareness campaign, a real-time attendance dashboard, and focused assistance for districts with the greatest needs, according to GaDOE.

In 2025, state lawmakers adopted updated attendance laws that prohibit expulsion based solely on absenteeism. The law also introduces further reporting requirements and supports pathways for students pursuing alternative diploma options.

By 2026, Georgia’s average student-to-teacher ratio was at about 14:1, more favorable than the national ratio of 15:1.
