Carrollton Junior High School issued the following announcement on Apr. 29.

Join Carrollton High School Performing Arts as they present “OKLAHOMA!” Saturday, May 14, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the Holcombe Theater of the Mabry Center for the Arts.

Directed by Tommy Cox with music direction by Julie Lowry, “OKLAHOMA!” is set in a Western territory just after the turn of the 20th century. A high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys provides a colorful background for Curly, a charming cowboy, and Laurey, a feisty farm girl, to play out their love story. Their romantic journey, as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road, contrasts with the comic exploits of brazen Ado Annie and hapless Will Parker in a musical adventure embracing hope, determination and the promise of a new land.

Tickets are $10. Call  770-834-2116 for credit card purchases or more information.  Tickets may also be purchased in the Carrollton High School front office, the performing arts office or at the door before the show.
