Atrium Health Navicent is partnering with Bibb County Schools to offer free sports physicals for area student athletes. Physicals for student athletes from Central, Northeast and Southwest high schools will be offered on Tuesday, March 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Central High School, located at 2155 Napier Ave, in Macon.

Exams will be offered for student athletes from Westside, Rutland and Howard high schools on Thursday, March 30 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Central High School.

Student athletes must bring signed consent and waiver forms which are available in advance from their schools. They also must bring a copy of their pre-participation physical evaluation history form.

These services are being offered by Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital and Atrium Health Navicent’s family medicine program.

“Atrium Health Navicent is proud to student athletes with these free physical exams, which can identify health issues and ensure they’re safe to participate in sports for the upcoming season,” said Dr. Mitch Rodriguez, business development officer for Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital. “Ensuring children receive regular checkups, including sports physicals, helps set them on a path for a healthy future. Thanks to Bibb County Schools for their partnership in providing this vital service.”
