Reports from the Georgia Department of Education show that five Asian students attended Dublin High School in the 2024-25 academic year.

Dublin High School had 596 students enrolled in 2024-25, with Asian students representing 1% of the overall student population, the smallest ethnic group in the school.

Situated within the Dublin City School District, the high school’s district office is based in Dublin.

Across the district’s five schools, Hillcrest Elementary School had the highest Asian student enrollment in 2024-25 with 10 students.

The National Center for Education Statistics reports that the racial and ethnic breakdown of Georgia public school students was about 36.4% Black, 35.9% white, 18.1% Hispanic, 4% Asian, 4.6% multiracial, 0.2% American Indian or Alaska Native, and 0.1% Pacific Islander.

Chronic absenteeism has been a significant post-pandemic concern for Georgia schools, with 20.7% of students missing 10% or more school days in 2024, according to the Georgia Department of Education. GaDOE introduced a statewide effort that includes a real-time attendance dashboard, a public relations campaign, and targeted interventions in high-need districts to encourage regular attendance.

State lawmakers updated Georgia’s attendance laws in 2025 with a bill prohibiting expulsion solely for absenteeism. The legislation establishes additional reporting requirements and joins programs that provide alternative ways for students to complete graduation requirements.

By 2026, Georgia’s average student-to-teacher ratio was about 14:1, surpassing the national average of 15:1.
